How Can I Improve My Employees Attendance?
It’s getting to be that time of year when my business picks up. The phones are ringing more steadily and the orders are coming in more aggressively. It’s a welcomed interruption in an otherwise stable business environment. However, because of the increase in work volume, it also because essential that my employees come to work as they are scheduled.
In an effort to find out why my employees call in most often and if there is anything I can do to prevent or plan for their absence, I decided to hire an employee satisfaction survey. I know if we can improve attendance we can also improve productivity so it is important to understand what motivates my employees to call in and the employee surveys are a safe way for them to voice the truth about this subject without feeling like there are disciplinary consequences. In addition, I also conducted a customer service survey to see how being short staffed affects my customers.
Fortunately the feedback received showed that a few simple changes in the way we do business will make a big difference on how my employees feel about coming to work. This will also directly affect an improvement on the customer service that is being provided. It’s great that these surveys are available to ask the right questions and get my business back on track.
