Don’t let stairlifts keep you from success
A growing number of business owners have indicated pressing concerns when it comes to making sure their businesses are compliant with the American Disability Act guidelines. In today’s litigious society, by not having installed stairlifts, the business at a particular location can easily be sued, and barring specific circumstances usually will lose the legal battle.
There have even been cases reported where the owners of wonderful and quaint bed and breakfast inns have been taken to court because they provide those recliner type of seating but had no lift chair recliners available for visiting guests that might need to have them.
While the last example seems a bit extreme, it may serve notice that if you run a business that provides certain amenities, those same amenities need to be available to those with disabilities, permanent or temporary.
Of course, a little common sense should also be in the employ of the average person. Unfortunately, in our world, there are an ever growing number of people that actively seek out the very worst situations and then do all they can to exploit them for their personal gain.
And those folks make it harder for everyone. Of course we all want equal rights and access for those that truly need it. Not for those that want to be given a quick buck.
