New Product in Crowd Control
There is an industry that many people don’t think about much: the industry of crowd control. Although we don’t think about it often, we often see the signs of crowd control when we are out and about in the world. Traffic safety barriers on roads and temporary fencing at big events are examples of equipment that comes from the crowd control industry.
There are many different types of products that are made for use in this industry. The majority of these products are different types of crowd control barriers. One type of barrier that falls into this category is the tensabarrier.
The tensabarrier is a post rope barrier system. It consists of sturdy posts that have strong belts which can run between them. The tensabarrier serves the purpose of preventing people from entering or exiting the area where the barrier is erected.
The tensabarrier is durable but it’s not designed to keep riotous crowds at bay. This type of crowd control equipment is best for settings where a crowd is relatively tame but may need to be corralled from one area or towards another. The success of using the tensabarrier may be enhanced by using additional security measures and other crowd control accessories to supplement the barrier.

I’ve seen these barriers around town, usually in banks, or more recently in movie theater’s. I went to a movie a few weeks ago and these barriers helped to separate the patrons that were in line to buy tickets from the ones that were just looking at the movie selection. These barriers would work well for outside events like fairs or Farmer’s Markets. Sometimes the lines in popular Farmer’s Markets gets a little strange, especially if your in the the pastry and coffee line first thing in the morning.
