Construction Workers Deserve Some Respect
Construction jobs are not easy jobs. They are jobs that require a lot of hard work, strength and willingness to be a team player. They are also jobs that can be quite dangerous if the right safety precautions are not taken. Most people don’t really take construction workers as seriously as they should because they don’t realize what a tough job this can be.
The average construction worker faces risks on the job every single day. Even the things on a job site that are intended to increase safety can pose risks. Setting up barricades, taking down a temporary fence or trying to navigate construction equipment around a jersey barrier all have the potential to cause harm to the worker if conditions aren’t perfect.
The construction worker must navigate these risks while staying on top of productivity on the job. Most people slow down their work to take extra precautions on the job. Construction workers are on tight deadlines that don’t allow for this. They have to continue to move quickly while staying vigilant enough to keep themselves and their co-workers safe at all times. It’s not an easy task to accomplish. Let’s give them the respect that they deserve!

Amen, brother. I think a lot of people take it for granted just how tough it is to do a solid job in construction, maintain a high level of quality craftsmanship in what you do and stay safe on the job, making a good place for all the employees on each job.
In my opinion any person who comes home with dirt under their finger nails deserves respect.
But construction is the same as every other industry…you get the fantastic and you get the not so
